Kicking off the week-long book festival is our opening keynote speaker- a writer, speaker and teacher of gratitude, Kevin Carroll! Then launch into a Blogging Workshop with an exciting writing contest announcement!
DAY 2 Young Authors Book Festival 2020
Read and make beautiful art with author Kathryn Otoshi! Then write a fable with author Ian Lendler and learn to make a comic with graphic novelist, Thien Pham! Listen for another exciting writing contest coming this summer!
DAY 3 Young Authors Book Festival 2020
Getting Creative with Stories, Poems and Songs!
Read a story and create something imaginative with Librarian Carla Ryan! Discover words and make a poem with literacy consultant Jaime Koo! Then sing along and write a song with singer/songwriter Michael Ryther!
DAY 4 Young Authors Book Festival 2020
Writing Workshops with Published Authors!
Squiggle your way into a story with River Brown and a story map with Naomi Kinsman! Then learn how to use rhyme in your stories with Tim McCanna!
DAY 5 Young Authors Book Festival 2020
Festival Finale with Lisa Brown’s interview and Gene Luen Yang’s closing keynote, and Michael Ryther’s performance Gene Luen Yang and Lisa Brown, bestselling and award-winning authors, share their latest work and advice for all young writers. Look out for a surprise guest appearance! Then watch a special performance by singer/songwriter Michael Ryther!
